To study Dog Grooming at WUC, you will need some experience of handling dogs.
Practical lessons take place in our dog grooming parlour. By working directly with the general public and their dogs, you will gain experience in customer care and hands-on dog grooming practice.
Importantly, you will finish your studies with a qualification trusted by owners and the industry. You will learn about all aspects of
the dog grooming industry including points of the dog, techniques for safe handling and control, Kennel Club breed groups, normal and abnormal health and hygiene, how to care for different coat types, how to recognise and care for skin conditions, parasites and infectious diseases and essential first aid for dogs.
